Letter from  the Chairman
The improved Newsletter, number 2, 2007, proved to be very popular with Members, though the editor apologises for the small size of print used in 2007.

St. Mary's Kirkyard
A combination of unsuitable weather and other pressures have led to delays in recording the existing granstones in the Kirkyard.

Secretary's Report
The Society has had a good year. Last year's AGM was held in Macduff for the first time, where we took leave of Dr Ronald Lees and Anne Meldrum from the Committee, though we made Anne our new Vice-President.

Newsletter No.2 - March 2007

Message from the Chariman
The response from Society members to the £5.00 annual appeal in 2006 was quite outstanding, and I wish to express my deep appreciation to you all. More than £500 was raised as a result which has allowed the Society to undertake various projects which are featured in this Newsletter.

Our New Identity
The Lord Lyon King of Arms granted a coat of arms to the Society in November 2006. It incorporates the Virgin and Child from the old Royal Burgh Council Arms which ceased to exist in May 1975.

Message from the Chariman
The membership of our Society has passed the hundred. Many members live furth of Banffshire, and cannot attend the various meetings and events, yet they continue to support the Society with great loyalty.

The 5 year Plan
At a Committee meeting held on 9th May 2005 a discussion document for a five year programme of restoration and improvement was tabled by the Chairman. After consideration by Committee a definitive plan was agreed.
